Okay, so it's hard not to snigger when the words "George W. Bush" and "Presidential Library" are strung together, but it turns out that there may be trouble brewing in terms of actually getting the project off the ground.
Southern Methodist University was chosen as the site, but is having trouble getting the land -- currently a Dallas park.
University Park residents recently adopted a charter amendment requiring voter approval if the city wants to use more than 5,000 square feet of parkland for non-park purposes... but officials are reluctant to have that vote during this year's mid-term elections:
